System requirements

  • macOS 14 or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1 or later)

Install the app

  1. Download the latest .dmg from the website.
  2. Open the disk image.
  3. Drag Agentic Studio into your Applications folder.
  4. Open Agentic Studio from Applications or Launchpad.
On first launch, the app starts a local backend and opens the onboarding flow. This may take up to a minute the first time while the runtime extracts. This is expected — wait for the onboarding screen to appear. If the app opens successfully, continue to Onboarding.

If macOS blocks the app

macOS may show a warning the first time you open a downloaded app.
  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Go to Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll down and click Open Anyway next to the Agentic Studio entry.
  4. Reopen Agentic Studio.
If the app still fails to open, go to Troubleshooting.

What the app installs locally

The desktop app stores all local data under:
~/.agenticstudio/instances/default
The folders the board will use most often:
FolderContents
logsBackend and runtime logs
dataLocal SQLite database and app state
data/backupsExported backups
These paths are also accessible from the Heartbeats settings page inside the app using Open Logs and Open Data.

Updating the app

Download the new .dmg from the website, drag the updated app into Applications, and reopen. The local data under ~/.agenticstudio is preserved across updates.

Uninstalling

Move Agentic Studio from Applications to Trash. The local data at ~/.agenticstudio is not removed automatically — delete that folder manually if you want a complete uninstall.
